A luxury five-bedroom residence in York’s prestigious Langley Gate development offered the perfect canvas to marry refined style with genuine comfort. The client, originally from Yorkshire but living in the USA at the time, entrusted us to manage the entire project remotely. Now back in the UK, our client continues to enjoy the property as a peaceful and private retreat.

The brief began as an elegant base for hosting friends and family, but evolved as our client’s lifestyle shifted. What emerged was a home full of warmth, personality and subtle distinction, a space to reconnect and entertain, free from the uniformity often found in new-builds

Luxurious and Sophisticated

Working closely with the housebuilder, we refined the layout and softened the architectural edges with bespoke finishes that set the tone for a more considered, personal scheme. Once the builder handed the project back to us, the real transformation began.

We layered in handcrafted cabinetry, honed marble kitchen surfaces, pocket doors to improve flow, custom-designed furniture and handmade beds to ensure an exceptional night’s sleep. Where others saw a blank canvas, we saw the potential to create something deeply personal for our client.

The result is a tactile, calming palette of warm neutrals, natural woods and soft textures, woven together in a home that feels luxurious, grounded and entirely unique.
