Design Concierge

Expert Interior design guidance, when you’re stuck.

Sometimes you don’t need a full interior design service - you need clarity, confidence and expert judgement at key decision points.
Our Design Concierge service is a focused, time-based offering designed to help you resolve specific design challenges, avoid costly mistakes, and move forward with confidence.

This is not a substitute for full interior design. It is a strategic support service for clients managing their own project who need professional guidance along the way.

When is Design Concierge the right choice?

Design Concierge is ideally suited to you if you are:

  • Managing your own renovation or refurbishment

  • Feeling overwhelmed by choices or conflicting advice

  • Unsure whether your ideas will work together

  • Needing help briefing builders or trades

  • Wanting professional reassurance before committing time or money

It’s particularly valuable when decisions feel high-stakes but you don’t want - or aren’t ready for - a full design appointment.

Design Concierge is diagnostic and advisory, not developmental.

Depending on your needs, this may include:

  • Reviewing your ideas, plans or inspiration

  • Helping you prioritise decisions and identify risks

  • Clarifying aesthetic direction at a high level

  • Advising on finishes, materials or colour logic (directional only)

  • Helping you prepare clear briefs for trades or suppliers

  • Sense-checking proposals before you proceed

The outcome is clarity and direction, not a finished design scheme.

What does our Design Concierge service provide?

What Design Concierge does not include

To avoid confusion, our Design Concierge Service does not provide:

  • Concept design or room schemes

  • Layouts or spatial planning

  • Measured surveys

  • Technical drawings or joinery design

  • Detailed sourcing or procurement

  • Project management or implementation

If you’re looking for a fully resolved, cohesive design, our Full Interior Design service is the appropriate route.

How Design Concierge Works

You book time, not a package. Design Concierge is charged in defined time blocks.

  1. We focus on the problem
You tell us where you’re stuck. We work precisely there.

  2. You leave with clarity
Clear guidance, next steps, and confidence to move forward independently.

Additional time can be booked if needed, but the service is always contained and intentional.

An important note on outcomes.

Because Design Concierge is advisory in nature, it does not deliver a finished or coordinated design. Clients using this service remain responsible for implementation and decision-making. This service is best viewed as expert intervention, not design execution.

When to choose Full Interior Design Instead

If your project involves:

  • Multiple rooms or phases

  • Structural changes or layout planning

  • Coordinating finishes across a whole home

  • Wanting a fully cohesive, professionally led outcome

…then our Full Interior Design service will deliver significantly more value and is designed for exactly that level of complexity.

How we help you

Design Concierge is diagnostic and advisory, not developmental. It provides expert guidance and reassurance without producing a finished design scheme.

Initial Consultation

We begin with a conversation to understand your requirements. This allows us to tailor our support precisely to your needs.

If helpful, we can arrange a site visit or virtual walkthrough to assess your space, natural light, existing furniture and flow.

Expert guidance & decision support

Design Concierge provides professional, design-led guidance to help you think clearly and move forward with confidence. This may include reviewing ideas, offering second opinions, and advising on whether proposals are likely to work - aesthetically and practically.

The emphasis is on clarity and judgement, rather than producing design deliverables.

Flexible advisory support

Design Concierge is intentionally flexible and time-based. Support is shaped around what you need at specific moments - whether that’s a single session to resolve a particular question, or occasional input as your project progresses.

Time and scope are always agreed in advance, ensuring the service remains focused and appropriate.

Practical implementation guidance

We offer practical advice to help you implement decisions confidently. This may include guidance on furniture choices, finishes, sequencing decisions, or preparing clear briefs for trades or suppliers.

While we don’t manage procurement or delivery, our role is to help you avoid costly missteps and move forward with greater assurance.

Renovation & refurbishment advice

Design Concierge can be valuable at key stages of a renovation or refurbishment. We can review plans, discuss layout options at a high level, help sense-check ideas, and advise on materials or finishes before work begins.

This support is advisory and diagnostic, helping you refine decisions rather than developing a detailed design.

Final styling & finishing advice

As your project nears completion - or if you’re preparing a property for sale - we can advise on how to bring everything together.

This may include guidance on furniture placement, balance, proportion and finishing touches to help a space feel resolved and welcoming.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Design Concierge is a design advisory service that provides professional guidance, clarity and reassurance at specific points in a project, without taking on full design responsibility or delivery.

It is intended for clients who value experienced insight and clear thinking, but who wish to remain closely involved in implementation.

  • Design Concierge is ideal for clients who:

    • Want expert design input without a full interior design appointment

    • Are comfortable implementing decisions themselves

    • Need help navigating specific design questions or choices

    • Prefer a flexible, advisory relationship rather than a structured design programme

It is also well suited to architects and project teams seeking design input without transferring design authorship.

  • Depending on your needs, Design Concierge may include:

    • Design direction and second opinions

    • Advice on layouts, finishes or furniture choices

    • Reviewing plans, ideas or inspiration

    • Guidance on how to approach a space or sequence decisions

    • Helping you clarify priorities and move forward with confidence

The scope is always agreed in advance to ensure the service remains focused and appropriate.

  • Design Concierge does not include concept boards; if you would like a visual concept for a single room, our Virtual Design service is designed specifically for that purpose.

  • Virtual Design is a contained design service that provides a defined visual outcome for one room.

Design Concierge is advisory in nature. It offers guidance rather than design deliverables, supporting decision-making without producing a finished scheme.

  • Full Interior Design is a comprehensive, staged service where we develop the design in detail, hold the overall vision and remain involved throughout the project.

Design Concierge does not include concept development, detailed design or ongoing coordination. It is intended to support, not replace, a full design service.

  • No. Design Concierge is an advisory service only.

It does not include drawings, technical specifications, procurement or coordination with suppliers or trades. Where delivery-led support is required, we will advise on the most appropriate service.

  • Design Concierge can be valuable at specific moments within larger projects, particularly where clarity or reassurance is needed.

However, it is not a substitute for full design involvement on complex, multi-room or long-term projects.

  • Design Concierge is typically delivered through clearly defined sessions or time allocations, agreed in advance.

This ensures the service remains efficient, focused and aligned with its advisory purpose.

  • If it becomes clear that your project would benefit from structured design development or delivery-led involvement, we will discuss whether Virtual Design or Full Interior Design would provide better value and clarity.

Any change in scope is always discussed and agreed before proceeding.

  • If you are looking for a hands-off experience where the design is fully developed and managed on your behalf, our Full Interior Design service will be a better fit.

Design Concierge is best suited to clients who want expert guidance while remaining actively involved.

  • The first step is an initial conversation to understand what support you’re looking for and whether Design Concierge is the right service.

From there, we’ll outline scope, structure and next steps clearly.
